Research & Development: Ever Changing, Ever Improving

“The only thing that never changes is that everything changes.” (Louis L'Amour)

Technology, processes and procedures, materials and tools, none of these are an exception, and at Chattanooga Floor Care we are continually striving to better ourselves and our service. As materials and the processes evolve, so do we, and like other industries, we use continued education as a means of not only keeping our employees up to date on the best practices and products, but also as an opportunity to explore what changes, whether big or small, could benefit us and our clients.

Much of our processes and products we put to the test in our own warehouse before we ever use it in a client's space. By doing this, we have been able to adjust mixtures and applications in a way that benefits our clients and have developed a mixture for our polyaspartic flake flooring that not only maintains a look that is aesthetically pleasing, but resulted in a slip resistance that is certified by Walkway Management Group of Southeast Tennessee. With the amount of moisture we tend to get in Chattanooga and the surrounding area and the amount of pool decks and other outdoor areas we work on, this is highly beneficial regardless of the time of year.

Occasionally, we do run into a trial and error situation. Fortunately, we have a good relationship with our vendors and we’re able to have conversations and troubleshoot with the chemists that create the product and see if together we can find a solution or pinpoint what happened. We are committed to producing a result that makes our clients happy, even if we do run into an unforeseen circumstance, we express that we are there to see it through and we’ll make it right. Some of these situations are unavoidable, understandably, as the manufacturer does testing in a controlled environment, where we don’t always have that option. Sometimes this is how we end up in a research and development phase, we are figuring out how to adjust our technique or product to accommodate the specific environment we’re applying it in. Regardless of the path required to get there, we’re confident we have a solution to your needs and look forward to all projects. Reach out today to see how we can improve your space.
